How to build your first website with AI, no code and no design skills

A beginner's guide to building a first website with AI: what to prepare, the words to use, how to change things and how to put it online.

The short answer

You need three things: a sentence describing what the site is for, a few real details (your name, prices, photos) and an AI website builder. Describe the site, look at what it makes, ask for changes in plain words, and press publish.

01What to prepare

  • One sentence: what the site is for and who it is for.
  • Your real details: business name, prices, opening hours, contact.
  • A few photos, even from your phone.

02Your first prompt

Write it like a message to a friend who is a designer: 'I run a small yoga studio. I want a calm website where people can see the timetable and book their first class.'

03Changing things

You do not need design words. 'Make it feel warmer', 'the text is too small on my phone' and 'move the prices higher up' all work.

Where Orlume fits

Orlume is made for exactly this. A site starts from a text prompt, or on paid plans from an uploaded screenshot or design. Deployment is one click: press Publish in the workspace, pick a name, and the site is live at name.orlume.site with no hosting to set up.
